Upgrading just one trim level up from the base VW Tiguan model offers drivers plenty of additional high-tech features. Most notably, keyless access with push-button start allows you to unlock the vehicle without taking its key out of your pocket. Once inside, push-button start offers added convenience.
The center stack provides a glass-covered 8-inch touchscreen display. This screen uses a capacitive-touch sensor, like you have in your smartphone or tablet. As a result, it can handle gesture controls, making it easy to use.
This easy-to-use system also includes the following features:
- Two front USB data ports
- One rear USB charging port
- JPEG viewer
- SiriusXM® All-Access
The VW Tiguan SE can seat five or seven passengers, depending on the configuration. You and your passengers will be sitting comfortably on V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, which is available in three colors: Titan Black, Storm Gray, and a two-tone Golden Oak/Black.
Heated front seats keep you and your front passenger cozy when there’s a winter chill in the air. Plus, the power driver’s seat makes it easy for you to find your preferred position behind the wheel. When you’re ready to drive away, your hands will rest comfortably on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Comfort goes even further thanks to Dual-Zone Climatronic® automatic climate control. This system allows you and your front passenger to individually set the cabin temperature based on what each person finds comfortable.
Style in the VW Tiguan SE starts from the ground up. Like the VW Tiguan S model, this trim level comes with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Although they’re the same size, the VW Tiguan SE wheels do get a style upgrade with a two-tone machined finish.
Meanwhile, at the top of the vehicle, a panoramic sunroof is available. This optional feature has a front glass panel that tilts and slides, plus a fixed rear glass panel.
The VW Tiguan SE also offers standard safety features to give you more confidence, whether you’re zooming down the highway or navigating a busy parking lot.
Front Assist includes Forward Collision Warning, which alerts you if it senses a potential collision with a vehicle or pedestrian in front of the vehicle. If you don’t respond in time, Automatic Emergency Braking may activate to help slow the VW Tiguan for you.
The Blind Spot Monitor is helpful when you’re changing lanes to pass slower vehicles on the highway: A light appears on the side mirror to let you know if someone’s in your blind spot.
Meanwhile, Rear Traffic Alert is great when you need to back out of a parking space and have limited visibility. It’ll let you know if a vehicle is approaching behind your vehicle from either side.
